Enoxaparin acts through high-affinity binding to antithrombin, accelerating Factor Xa inhibition by >1000-fold. Its mean molecular weight of ~4,500 Da provides predictable pharmacokinetics, superior anti-Xa to anti-IIa ratio (3.6:1), and reduced HIT risk versus unfractionated heparin.
